I decided to try and blog agian on my own website to give updates and try and build an email list around the game and products I want to make. My reason is simple just build your own castle rather than help someone else castle wall get higher.
My experiments in social media
I took some time to experiment with social media throught the lquater of 2022 and till the first part of 2023. I mostly used the CG BOSS Tiktok and Instagram accounts to post content relating to AI art since that was a trend that was up and coming.
I feel social can be good to raise awareness but as reading the Game Marketing Blog don't build your castle in other peoples land. The reason being is you can get shut out from your audience quickly once algorithmn changes or their business models switches. Right now everything is all about the short form content. Which I don't think helps build and audience for yourself.
I did enjoy my time on tiktok creating AI Artworks and one of my videos titled "Gun Maid went Viral. I do think its the only platform that keeps showing content and going viral. But I feel its a trap to lock more users into their platform and not gain anything for yourself. Most times most poeple don't really click out to view your website link.
I concluded that I am just digital sharecropping again and it does not allow me to have my own asset.
I think that if you run ads you might get better results I only have tried it on instagram and while the results were good it did not last very long and I was back to square one of trying to search for trends and making interesting edits based on hashtags.
I feel it would be better to see out other ways to reach audiences and find ways that are a direct reach to them.

Giving the Ghosts a try
While searching Google by luck I managed to find Digital Press a website hosting company for Ghost Blogs.
I will upgrade eventually to the full blog host when I out run of space or it gets slow.
It is slightly cheaper than Ghost pro, with 3 Tiers. Pricing starts at $6 Euro, followed by $12 Euro and $25 Euro.
Writing in Ghost feels good it is a lot like the medium editor.
There is also not much control in the website and it is focused on publising web text image content.
I will probably go into another article that gives a bit more look at setting things up as a creator.
